Arillas is a paradise wrapped in a dream nestled on the sandy coast of the Greek Island of Corfu. Corfu is steeped in Greek culture and though it enjoys a healthy flow of summer visitors - mostly families and people who return year after year - it is free from the crowds and commercialism that can be found at summer destinations with a fraction of the beauty of it's turquoise water and fine sandy beaches. This gorgeous setting and intimate family atmosphere make Arillas Beach the ideal spot for the musical adventure that is Corfu Rock School. Corfu Rock School is an adventure into music and culture for musicians of all ages Students will enjoy a musical and cultural experience that will include daily music master class instruction with top pros, group jam sessions/performances, exploration and trekking across the awesome terrain of Corfu. It is the creation of Mike Piescki and Simon Wyett. Mike is a working NYC drummer and well-loved music teacher from an award winning school district in Upper Westchester, New York, and Simon is a multi-talented musician, artist and craftsman from the UK who lives with his wife, Maxine and raised two daughters on the Island of Corfu. Corfu Rock School came out of a wish to share the combined beauty of Corfu and a passion for music in a way we wished was available when we were kids. We can't think of a better way to spend a summer vacation. We know you'll agree. |

Meet Our Staff...!
The Playing:
We have put together a fantastic music experience - one that you will never forget. Students will be treated to "one on one" attention with seasoned professionals at the top of their field. Developing students will have an opportunity to rehearse and perform in a low-pressure environment. Experienced students will trade their knowledge with peers at their level, and grow from working with pro musicians.
The Goal:
The goal of Corfu Rock School is to educate students on their instruments and to teach the importance of functioning as a group. Students will receive individual instrumental/vocal instruction, and feature new skills when playing with their bandmates.
The Gear:
Corfu Rock School will provide a backline of larger instruments and equipment such as - Drums, Keyboards, Amps, and Cables. Personal instruments, such as guitars, basses, brass and other stringed instruments, etc. are not provided and will need to be brought by the student. Students will need to bring basic nessesities for their instruments to last for the duration of the trip. Corfu Rock School will provide back up instruments and supplies in the event that instruments malfunction or supplies run out.
